Went for Sunday brunch
Food was outstanding
Service was on point w/o being cloying
Sat out on the terrace which was lovely
Will go back as there are quite a few items on the menu that we want to try

The food was fabulous but the ambiance really set this place apart from the rest. The owner greeted several patrons around us as if he'd known them for years (and probably had). The cozy atmosphere and warm personalities make this place feel like home. Next time we'll come back for brunch or lunch and enjoy the patio in the daylight!

Very good french bistro at fairly reasonable prices. Ambiance is fun and food is always excellent. Have been going there for twenty years and is always consistent

Everything was amazing. First time dining there, felt very cozy, and loved the European ambiance. Loved the fish, the scallops and the octopus. Had such a lovely evening and all the food was delicious!
by ZsuzsannaZ on April 17, 2018
Authentic French cuisine and reasonably priced wine list.
Everyone could find something good from the menu. Especially recommend the octopus with avocado for the starter and the duck as the main course.

Meilleur resto pour rencontre entre amis . J'ai toujours et toujours mes amis et étudiants à y aller.
Merci pour le chaleureux accueil

Great service and the food is always delicious.

The entree special (duck breast) was not special. On the other hand the mussels were superb as well as the octopus carpaccio.

Excellent food and service, a place to relax with your friend, lover, or spouse.

The staff was amazing. We went to celebrate a birthday and they brought out a special dessert and were so friendly.

Our experience was very excellent

Met friends for dinner. Food was lovely & delicious as always. Ambience was excellent. Great live music, and full restaurant! Waiter was extremely rude on multiple occasions. When we asked very politely if our appetizers were out (1 hr & 15 mins after we ordered them) mentioning we were getting pretty hungry, the waiter snapped back that he’d been there longer than us and hadn’t eaten all night. There were a few more instances like this. Very rude and not an attentive waiter.

We have been going to Anis for years. It is truly a gem and never fails to be outstanding in every way! The mussels are the absolute best!!
by Pleasant on April 11, 2018
Food was good although I wish that my trout had not been coated.
by Josh on April 10, 2018
I was very leased when my business date suggested Anis, as I had not been there in years. It is a great, local, neighborhood gem of a french spot, and we were all very pleased. The valet is a HUGE plus in this neighborhood, and all staffers were pleasant and professional. We were all very pleased with the food selections, and the quality was satisfactory. The soup of the day and mussels were standouts.

Elvir was a great waiter! The food was delicious.

Hidden gem tucked in between Buckhead and Garden Hills. Lively, but still cozy enough to have a conversation. Food, service and value were all excellent. Good seafood choices as well.

This place is not “gourmet greatness”, it’s comfortable, consistent and delicious. Food is always perfectly prepared and wonderful. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and timely. Ambience is wonderfully quaint and old-world. I’ve been here a bunch of times and truly love coming here.

Always a great place to meet friends and catch up. Love the patio, love the food. Friendly staff.
by OpenTable Diner on April 06, 2018
I've eaten here many times and the food is always good. My problem is the unfriendly wait staff. I always feel like an imposition instead of appreciated as a customer.
by OpenTable Diner on April 05, 2018
Food and service were special. Menu was varied and flavors were well designed and executed perfectly. We recommend without reservation!
by BillC on April 03, 2018
Always great food and friendly service. The seared tuna was excellent. The owner is always very welcoming and accommodating, which added to a great dining experience.

Great atmosphere and great Easter brunch buffet! I look forward to trying this place again for dinner. Very romantic patio!

This was our 6th year going to Anis for Easter... it is always lovely... great food... love sitting on the Terrace...
by KatherineE on April 01, 2018
Wonderful Easter brunch! Although we did have a reservation it was a busy day and we still had to wait 30 minutes. The hostess was great and she did manage to update us and check in until the table was ready. We had a lovely meal- food and atmosphere was exceptional. Perfect!
by 1walker1 on April 01, 2018
Easter brunch was a huge disappointment. We booked through Open Table so didn’t know until we got there that they were having a buffet and the menu wasn’t available. The food was ok but it’s not what we wanted. We paid a lot of money for not what we wanted to eat!

They have converted an old house into a great little French restaurant.
We had a bottle wine with our cheese plate and the tomato salad. Dinner was trout and salmon and we finished with a shared desert . The food and service were great and we enjoyed being on the porch overlooking Buckhead.
by TriciaE on March 31, 2018
A hidden gem. Delicious mussels, salmon, mushroom ravioli. Save room for dessert!

Overall food was great and just a little spotty on service. Folks were nice just a little maybe distracted with things
by Xerxes on March 24, 2018
The food is always good. This time we were rushed for the first 2/3's of the meal. The waiters were constantly removing our plates when all 3 of us were not done. This was so different from our last visit there.
by OpenTable Diner on March 24, 2018
A neighborhood favorite, it’s the detail in flavor that separate Anis from other establishments
by ShuchitaP on March 23, 2018
We tried this restaurant because of the Atlanta Dining Passbook. Ignoring the fact that we were seated in a table shoved in the corner of the patio against their back window, when there were plenty of other table open, our dinner started off promising, with my husband’s salmon carpaccio appetizer being a very pleasant surprise. I’m not big on seafood and even I enjoyed it. However, the meal was downhill from there. My husband ordered the boeuf au poivre, medium, but instead was given a filet that could only be described as *very* rare. We could have dealt with that if our server had come back to check on us in a timely manner, and taken the steak back to be cooked a little more, but she didn’t come back again for almost 30 minutes, by which point the steak (and the rest of my husband’s food) was cold, and his appetite gone. My meal was also extremely disappointing. I’m newly vegetarian, and I realize that French food isn’t the most vegetarian-friendly cuisine, so I don’t fault the restaurant for not having enough options for me to choose from. But the veggie plate I did offer was a medley of dry and flavorless vegetables, to the point where it was difficult to eat.

Anis continues to provide an exceptional dining experience. Jeremy, our server and sommelier, provided excellent recommendations to pair a great wine with our food. Highly recommend this place
by Hawk on March 23, 2018
So damned loud people were shouting at every table. Partly so many tables were crammed so close together.
by Tmerlin13 on March 23, 2018
Love this place. The food is always excellent, great wine list, excellent service, does get loud. Tables very close together.
by OpenTable Diner on March 23, 2018
The waiter was distracted, and missed an opportunity to sell dessert and coffee due to his 10+ minute delay.
by jimk on March 21, 2018
the corvina white fish special portion was very small and on veggies that were half warm and half cold. VERY loud patrons.
by OpenTable Diner on March 18, 2018
Excellent as always
by EdwardG on March 16, 2018
We love this restaurant. It is authentic French cuisine and Arnaud Michel is the consummate Frenchman/host. The atmosphere is that of a neighborhood French bistro and the food is fabulous. We highly recommend it to locals and tourists alike. You won't be disappointed.

Rustic French, nice outdoor patio weather permitting. Limited menu but coves the basics.

Has been a while since we’ve been there. Took some friends and we had enjoyable evening
by GaryGant on March 09, 2018
Visiting Anis again was a welcome treat! Their mountain trout (signature dish) was as good as ever and their arugula salad (with lemon vinaigrette and artichoke hearts) up to snuff. Tucked away in an old house in Buckhead, there's always a special energy about the place!
by ATLNATIVE on March 07, 2018
Outdoors great. Inside too noisy.

Had a father-daughter brunch on Sunday! Absolutely wonderful! Omelette and crepes are delicious! Overall ambiance is wonderful- definitely my favorite spot in Atlanta! Hidden jewel of Atlanta:)

We enjoyed a drink in the bar and moved to our reserved table when we were ready. Service was good, our wine selection was pleasing and the food was delicious.
