The service was just terrible. We sat for 20 mins before our drink order was taken. I had to practically body tackle the waiter to get him to stop and offer refills. Even catching his eye didn’t work. He would just keep on moving. Our glasses stood empty half the time. The food was mediocre, at best, and thoroughly disappointing, at worst. The duo of pork looked like it was tossed on the plate by a prison cook. The portions were unacceptable for the price. The cocktails were okay. Overpriced, but not outrageously so. We won’t be back. There are far better options closeby.

Braddock’s is our favorite restaurant in the cultural district. Consistently great food and good service! I am always surprised that it does not attract more diners. It really is a hidden gem!

I would not recommend this Resteraunt for anyone. The food was cold/burned and flavorless. Worst food I have had In a long time
by hartmann44 on June 17, 2018
Nice lunch menu. Very accommodating staff (we needed a booth as some in the party are hearing impaired, so they quickly set one up). The waiter was very accommodating and his suggestions were spot on. Great place for lunch before a matinee.

One of the best breakfast buffets in Pittsburgh! Excellent omelette chef on Sundays. Perfectly made mimosas.
by Pres75 on June 15, 2018
I come here for the Prince Edward Island Mussels. Always well prepared.

Fabulous service, fabulous food and a winning ambiance to boot!

Tiffany was wonderful!!!

Nice menu but food was a little disappointing (we had fish & chips) which was dry and tasteless. Appetisers were very good and service was excellent!

Nice, quiet and don't have to yell at your dinner companions! Nice menu and good service. Though the last time I was not happy with my food (first time after MANY visits)it was back to "normal" this time---must have been an inexperienced chef last time. Anyway, it's very comfortable and so convenient to theater and symphony. Wait staff very nice and accommodating.

This place was fine. It was overpriced, and the food was kind of underwhelming, but we had a good time anyway. I probably won't go back, but I wouldn't tell people to stay away.
by OpenTable Diner on May 28, 2018
Cold atmosphere. Menu overall kind of boring but with few spikes of original and exciting choices. Plates well prepared and cooked. Good presentation. Nice drinks. A bit overpriced. Did not like one of the waiters attitude. Did not understand what is the picture of the restaurant of here on the app. You can see a restaurant front with glass windows facing the street, when the restaurant is inside the Hotel Lobby with no view.

Cool restaurant in beautiful Renaissance Hotel. When we went, they were pretty empty but the food took forever and wasn't very good. They burned the toasted hamburger buns and the burgers were very dry. Too bad because it's a nice looking place.
by DCDiner on May 27, 2018
Braddock's is located in the Renaissance Hotel. It's a great brunch option in downtown, but the buffet food wasn't the quality we'd hoped it would be. The service was excellent. It's a great choice for those staying in the hotel, but Pittsburgh has many better options.

It was loud because a wedding reception was in the lobby.
by OpenTable Diner on May 26, 2018
The only potential problem we had is when arriving for our 430 reservation we were told that the restaurant did not open until 5. There was another party who like us also had a 430 reservation. There were servers there and we were seated. However it seems there is a serious problem with the online reservation process.
by LynetteJ on May 24, 2018
Had a spinach salad with grilled shrimp that was fabulous. Attentive wait staff, and comfortable seating. Easy to walk there before theater.
by Chris on May 22, 2018
No a very good dining experience. Out of four people, one had an acceptable dinner. One person suffered digestive track problems, one could not even eat the salad - too much rosemary in dressing, the third had the daily special which was served with hardly any of the relish advertised and cold vegetables and the fourth person ordered a sandwich from the bar menu - it was the best. Skip the Brasserie.

Service was very good - we had limited time pre-theater and our server responded. I would have liked more vegetarian entree options, but a salad worked out well although they forgot the goat cheese and it took a while to get that rectified. Overall the food was good.

Wonderful, wonderful, will definitely be returning!!!!

Place was mostly empty on a Saturday evening. Very cavernous space. My crab cakes were soggy; should have returned them to kitchen. Prices are high.
by colleenk on May 19, 2018
The food was way overpriced for the portion we received. The food was tasty as was dessert but I would not return.

Took my team to lunch and made the reservation through Open Table. We arrived at 11:30am and the restaurant was fairly quiet and empty. All 9 team members placed their orders with a very attentive waiter. The food arrived in about 30 minutes hot and flavorful. The team thoroughly enjoyed the food and the restaurant was quiet enough to have lively conversation. Highly recommend stopping in.

Accommodated children, provided roses for mothers. Very nice touch

Mother's day brunch was a success. My wife, mother of three, was very happy with the ambiance and the food. The pictures online did not do justice to this restaurant. It was beautiful and the buffet was delicious. Would recommend.
by OpenTable Diner on May 13, 2018
Ridiculously overpriced Mother’s Day buffet! What a poor choice on my part. Will never go back- Grand Concourse next time for sure. Food- almost zero flavor. Service- mediocre at best.
by Toby on May 12, 2018
Two of the four in our party had the Mussels Mariniere--plumpest, juiciest mussels ever--in fact, I go to Braddock's in order to get my 'mussel fix'. The lobster gnocchi was also good but the small portion is more than enough. Kielbasi board is a hit and used with the soup appetizer as an entree--it's large. Onion soup was disappointing--onion soup had great flavor but though billed to have gruyere on top, it was not and thus the cheese was not toasty brown as every good onion soup gratin should be.

Everything was excellent....the food, service, atmosphere. If you are in the cultural district, this restaurant is a must. We’ve eaten at all of them. None better than this one!

This is always a great place for food and drinks. The wait staff is always fast, friendly and attentive to your needs.

Stopped for dinner before a show. Beet salad with goat cheese was very well constructed with shaved beets and two large rounds of crusted fried goat cheese with a delicate dressing and a dusting of pistachios . I added scallops which were huge and cooked to perfection. Really took it over the top. Justin was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. A superb dining experience I would definitely recommend

Solidly interesting local food & routine favorites.
by Rudee on May 6, 2018
The service was great. The salad was perfect. We loved the Salmon. I had the Pork Belly and I would pass the next time. It is a great location. Very cold and dark. Needs some life. It should be a place to go to because of the great location

We were looking for a quality, casual meal after the Marathon. We had tried some fast establishments nearby and all had long waits, but Braddock’s stays immediately. It was Sunday just after noon and their brunch buffet was in full swing, with made to order omelets, waffles, and a variety of hot food items. They offered to keep the buffet open longer than the scheduled for us because of the event! I got an omelet that was cooked to perfection. My young niece got a lot of whipped cream on her excellent waffle. The sausages have sage and delicious spices- they are a must have! The bacon was crispy but we asked for something a little less done and our needs were met. The coffee is bold and just he way I like it! And no Pittsburgh buffet is complete without pierogies. Definitely will visit again’

It was very enjoyable. Our server, Mike, provided excellent recommendations and were well received. Timing was excellent as we were going to a 2 o'clock show. Will gladly recommend to others

We had lunch on a Sunday before a theatre matinee. The portions were large, and I must say the food combo a bit odd...the Rueben had a peirogi and keilbasa along with the corned beef and sauerkraut. I couldn't finish it and only had 1/2 sandwich along with the Roasted Red Tomato soup, which was delicious, but had the taste and texture more like a spaghetti sauce than a soup. I would probably return since it is so convenient to the theatre and the prices are reasonbable.

Service was horrible and slow! My family received their breakfast and though the waiter told me mine was on the way out... five minutes later I had to look for someone to find where my breakfast was. Had to wait another several minutes before my cold, chewy omelet was delivered. Meanwhile, everyone at the table was finished their breakfast. Avoid this place! There are much nicer places to dine in Pittsburgh.

Took our son for a graduation celebration. We made an 8:00 pm reservation a week in advance, and there were lots of tables open at that time. We arrived 5 minutes early and were asked to wait at the bar (across hotel lobby) as they would not be ready for about 10 minutes. We didn't actually get the table until 8:20. Everyone was very apologetic about the big rush they had just had, to the point where we just wanted to order and move on. Service from then on was ok, but all staff were clearly overwhelmed and not clear why. Food was good-beet and goat cheese salad with shrimp, steak frites for my son, the Iron City short ribs for my husband (just ok-fatty, served with seasonal veg of yellow squash and red peppers which he doesn't care for). Beer list was basic, the strawberry vodka cocktail was delicious, sweet corn risotto side was delicious, chocolate mousse whiskey cake and bread pudding dessert portions were huge. I'd recommend but the professionalism of the staff could be raised a bit.

Dinner was good. Service was not so hot. Consistently had to wave down a server for help. Very slow. They just looked too busy. Mussels appetizer was awesome. Had a drink at the bar and the service there was better even though looked just as business as the dining room.
by OpenTable Diner on April 28, 2018
The food and wine were fantastic. Ambiance was great, but a bit crowded near other tables. Our server was not at all attentive. He never filled our water, was very slow to respond, and left us waiting for our bill long after we were finishd, knowing that we had a show to get to.
by GeorgeA2 on April 26, 2018
The staff is always very friendly. The food is awesome! Free valet parking with the meal is a great perk!!

Autumn was an outstanding server. Knew the menu, had great recommendations, and her service was on point. Very friendly and made our birthday celebrations special! Hostess was professional and welcoming. A wonderful evening! #autumenempire

Great food, decor & staff. Perfect for a special occasion.

I googled brunch places and this restaurant came up. Assuming brunch was served until 2 I made a reservation at 12. We arrived and the were ending brunch service so we had to order if the lunch menu which we were disappointed about. The lunch menu wasn't appealing to our party of 6 but we ordered anyway. We were one if maybe 3 tables in there and food took 40 minutes. Coffee was luke warm like it was still from breakfast service. We had 2 kids in the party and the waiter brought over crayons after food was delivered which I found odd after waiting 40 minutes for entrees.
by PattyM on April 14, 2018
Wonderful service - so friendly. Delicious food. The beet & goat cheese salad was terrific. Scallops were cooked perfect. Highly recommend!
by MonkSaki on April 14, 2018
I started with the beet salad, which was good. The fried goat cheese added an interesting texture, albeit my preference would be for plain goat cheese. My entree was the crab cakes. While the presentation was lovely, the crab cakes were unexceptional and I found that the aioli sauce too bland to complement the crab cakes.

I have been to Braddock's several times and this was the first time that I would say that the food and service were inconsistent.
by GeorgeH on April 4, 2018
My pork tenderloin with pork belly was novel and very flavorful. Service was pleasant, helpful and courteous. Venue was very nice located adjacent to the lobby of a historic hotel.

Attended the Easter Brunch this was our second time. We like the wide variety of items that are offered from breakfast favorites, omelet station, carving station, salad bar even a pierogi station. Plenty to choose from and desserts galore. Great service in a unique environment.
